Congratulations: Lianyungang Energy Group's 150MW/300MWh Independent Shared New Energy Storage Project Successfully Grid-Connected

On the morning of November 30, 2024, Lianyungang Energy Group's 150MW/300MWh independent shared new energy storage project was successfully grid-connected in the Lingang Industrial Zone of Guannan County.
As the energy storage system solution provider, Hexon Energy Co., Ltd. delivered a full-set product solution for this project, leveraging its outstanding technical strength and rich project management experience. During the project implementation, Hexon's project team overcame numerous challenges to ensure smooth progress, laying a solid foundation for the successful grid connection.

Upon completion, the project will have a peak-shaving capacity of 300MWh. It will play a key role in enhancing the stability and efficiency of the regional power grid, and increasing the consumption rate of new energy. Meanwhile, it will further improve Lianyungang's new energy industry system, extend the industrial chain, upgrade the value chain, continuously strengthen the momentum of Lianyungang's green industry development, and serve as a demonstration model.

  1. Cutting-Edge Technology ApplicationThis project demonstrates Hexon Energy's innovation and leadership in energy storage technology. It adopts Hexon's self-developed 1500V high-voltage liquid-cooled energy storage system, which has gained wide market recognition for its low LCOS (Levelized Cost of Storage), excellent safety and reliability, long lifecycle, and intelligent efficient operation. Notably, Hexon has pioneered the integration of acoustic low-pressure dual-fluid water mist fire suppression technology into the energy storage system: nitrogen drives water through special nozzles in battery modules (via ultrasonic waves) to generate ultra-fine droplets (less than 50μm in diameter). These droplets and nitrogen quickly absorb heat and suppress flame spread, while maintaining environmental friendliness and electrical insulation.
The successful application of this technology (for temperature suppression, cooling, fire extinguishing, and re-ignition prevention) not only significantly reduces water damage risks but also provides an innovative, efficient, and low-environmental-impact fire protection solution for energy storage facilities. This marks a major innovative breakthrough in China's energy storage fire safety technology.
  1. Comprehensive Safety AssuranceThe project showcases Hexon Energy's solid and reliable safety capabilities. To ensure the long-term stable operation of the energy storage station, Hexon customized an innovative five-layer combined fire protection scheme for the project: including "cabin-level perfluorohexanone injection", "cabin-level water fire sprinkler", "full-cabin water immersion", "PACK-level flammable gas detection", and "PACK-level perfluorohexanone injection (or acoustic low-pressure dual-fluid water mist)". This forms a multi-level, all-round safety protection system.
This scheme can efficiently warn and eliminate fire hazards in a timely manner, ensuring the energy storage station remains stable and safe in complex operating environments. Such comprehensive safety measures strongly support the steady development of the energy storage industry.
  1. Fastest Delivery & Grid ConnectionThe project reflects Hexon Energy's efficient execution and rapid delivery capabilities in energy storage projects. Led by Hexon, and in collaboration with top-tier design institutes and engineering contractors, a highly efficient collaborative mechanism was established. The project took only 2 months from groundbreaking to successful grid connection.
