Hexon Energy Adds Another Grid-Connected Project: Zhongning Shangchu 100MW/200MWh Shared Energy Storage Power Station Fully Grid-Connected and Operational

Recently, the Zhongning Shangchu 100MW/200MWh Shared Energy Storage Power Station Project, in which Hexon Energy participated, has successfully completed full-capacity grid connection and officially entered commercial operation. The commissioning of this project not only verifies Hexon’s technical and project management capabilities in large-scale shared energy storage, but also earned a written commendation from the partner, Power China Jilin Electric Power Survey & Design Institute Co., Ltd., establishing it as another benchmark case in the industry.

Project Overview: A Key Node in Ningxia’s Regional Energy Storage Network

Located in Zhongning County, Zhongwei City, Ningxia, the Zhongning Shangchu Shared Energy Storage Power Station has a total designed capacity of 100MW/200MWh and serves as a critical supporting project for the local new power system construction. The energy storage area is equipped with 30 energy storage units (3.35MW/6.7MWh each), connected to the 35kV side of the newly-built 110kV booster station via 4 35kV collection lines. It can efficiently accommodate the consumption needs of local new energy sources (such as wind and solar power) while providing auxiliary services (e.g., peak shaving, backup power) for the power grid, enhancing the stability and flexibility of the regional power system.

Project Execution: Delivering Efficiently with Professionalism and Responsibility

During the construction phase, facing the dual pressures of “funding challenges and heavy tasks”, the Hexon project team (led by Project Manager Xiong Hao) maintained a rigorous and proactive work attitude, along with a strong sense of responsibility and mission throughout: by coordinating resources efficiently and organizing construction processes meticulously, the team ensured the project completed full-capacity grid connection and delivery within the scheduled timeline.

This achievement has been highly recognized by the partner. In its commendation letter, Power China Jilin Electric Power Survey & Design Institute specifically noted: “It is precisely due to the hard work and unremitting efforts of (Hexon’s team) that the project was able to proceed smoothly.” It also affirmed Hexon’s corporate philosophy of “integrity-based operation, technological innovation, and outstanding service”, stating that Hexon “has set a shining example in the industry”.
